Niall is an independent business advisor and executive coach. His goal is to help export-oriented companies achieve growth through effective employment of people, processes and strategies, drawing on his own experience and utilizing his extensive network. He is currently advising a number of companies in Ireland and internationally, in the technology, aerospace and industrial sectors. Since 2015 he has been an Enterprise Ireland mentor, for whom he has completed over 50 assignments. He has delivered sales process workshops and mentoring to the Accenture Fintech Innovation Lab in from 2015 to 2017. He also serves on the boards of several companies.
Niall graduated from DCU in 1986 in Electronic Engineering. He worked in the electronics sector in Germany before returning to Ireland in 1992 to co-found ACRA CONTROL, where he was responsible for International Sales and Marketing. He was instrumental in building the core executive team, raising funding, and building a 20-strong sales and marketing team. He established a global distributor network and a US sales and support subsidiary. The business acquired customers in 40 countries worldwide and achieved growth in annual export sales of its Flight Test Instrumentation and Telemetry equipment to €20m. Following the acquisition of ACRA CONTROL by Curtiss-Wright in 2011, Niall served for three years as Director of International Sales for the Avionics and Electronics group comprised of ACRA and three other businesses, with annual sales of $100m.
