Dermot is a highly experienced Business Development, Marketing, Sales, Procurement, and Change Management professional with a successful record in International Trade and Development, Innovation and Delivery against challenging targets. He has also a proven track record in Marketing and Business Strategy and has several international awards to his name. Dermot is an experienced Business Mentor with Enterprise Ireland and also with the DCU / Ryan Academy and is a qualified practitioner in Personal, Leadership and Executive Coaching.
Dermot has held Senior Executive Director positions in Corporate (Glanbia, Mars / Masterfoods, Unilever plc. & Keelings and SME (Gowan Group) before ultimately establishing, and currently running, his own procurement company (The Four Corners Company) in Hong Kong, a consulting company (Darkard Ltd) in Dublin and more recently a retrofit LED Lighting Company (SME Lighting Ltd), also based in Dublin.
Dermot operational experience encompasses Europe, Asia, Middle East, USA and Africa (MEA) and is across a diverse number of industries and product categories, including fresh / frozen / processed ambient food, beverages, homewares, building supplies, promotional items and also bespoke IT solutions.
While Dermot continues to assist companies domestically, he also has a focus on bi-directional trade with China. He is fluent in English and functional in Mandarin.
