Barry O’Connor has built his career working with new emerging technologies and has become very skilled in preparing and delivering them into the corporate realm. He has worked across many sectors and technologies, from pharma to finance. His primary focus was in the Mobile Telecoms and CEM space, but this has shifted to the Blockchain and DLT space in the last four years.
Barry has worked with eight blockchain start-ups and has delivered advisory services to over 30 start-ups. These have ranged from the ideation phase to raising series B+ funds and everything in between.
His skill set includes conceiving, building, and selling new and novel offerings into the corporate world. As a trained management consultant, he is very skilled in working through difficult challenges and building steps to overcome them. His methodology is pragmatic and iterative and ensures all engagements are focused and deliver a positive outcome.
More recently, he has focused on governance in the digital realm, specifically in the blockchain and DLT space. He is a national lead of the governance workstream with ISO TC307 and UNECE global standards.
