Workshop Overview

A one – day workshop focusing on the importance of financial planning and building a credible financial model for startups. The workshop also explores the best type and mix of funding for different types of startups and how to engage with potential investors in the market. To apply the learnings from the workshop, there is a “one to one” follow – up session with expert facilitators on the business’s financials. 

CEOs and Founders pitch their investment to a panel of experienced venture capital mentors who offer recommendations on fine-tuning the presentation and making it more compelling.

Learning outcomes

At the end of the workshop and follow-up session you will be able to:

  • understand the role of strategic planning in identifying the funding gap
  • understand the implications of taking on debt versus equity  
  • identify key financial information for financial modelling
  • have an overview of the funding ecosystem in Ireland
  • identify appropriate funding for your business 
  • articulate your message and present to investors

This is a one-day interactive workshop with a “one to one” follow up session where companies can present their investment proposal in a secure environment and benefit from constructive feedback from experienced practitioners.

The workshop is held in Enterprise Ireland offices, East Point Business Park, Dublin 3.

The workshop is delivered by Enterprise Ireland in partnership with Strategic Growth Leaders (SGL). SGL specialise in providing  part time Chief Financial Officer services to startups and SMEs across all sectors.
